Microrealism & Client Stories:

Choosing a Reference

Send a clear, high-resolution reference and tell me which details matter most to you. For a portrait, choose a photo that clearly shows the face and expression. I’ll review the image and help you decide what can work at the size you have in mind.

Size and Placement

Tell me your preferred placement and approximate size in inches. A small tattoo still needs enough room for its defining details. I’ll review the subject and recommend a size and placement that give those details enough space.

Planning Your Session

I take new projects with a three-hour minimum. Small, realistic tattoos can still take time. Once I’ve reviewed your idea and references, I’ll recommend the session time for your project.

Small Tattoos, Realistic Detail

Microrealism focuses on realistic subjects at a small scale. I use light, shadow and contrast to bring out the features that make a face, animal or object recognizable.
